About

An agriculture company, and only an agriculture company

Produce more safe food with less waste and less risk, and make that profitable for farmers, partners, and Ifenri.

The premise

Food is a need every customer already has

Nigeria has low mechanization, scarce and poorly maintained machines, and high post-harvest losses. There is a large gap between what farms could produce and what reaches the table — and closing it is a business, not a charity.

Farming alone often carries thin margins. Cutting losses after harvest, adding processing and linking farms to buyers raises both food supply and income, and spreads risk across the chain.

Robotics and autonomy are how Ifenri delivers: drones and robots in the field first, then machines and sensors for drying, storage, sorting and processing.

Every stage produces data. That data is an asset — it supports nutrition, food safety, health partnerships, insurance, credit and climate planning. Those benefits come out of the data, not out of separate businesses.

How the business is shaped

A wedge, a platform, and a data flywheel

Start narrow with paying customers. Reuse everything. Let the data from each stage make the next stage better and cheaper.

Wedge

A narrow problem with paying customers you can serve well now.

For Ifenri

Drone mapping and spraying services; a scouting rover for one crop.

Platform

The shared technology and operations that every product reuses.

For Ifenri

Autonomy core, fleet software, data engine, repair network, manufacturing know-how.

Data flywheel

Data from every stage improves the next stage and creates new products.

For Ifenri

Field data cuts loss in storage; storage data improves processing plans; chain data supports insurance, nutrition and food-safety partnerships.

How we work

Three tracks, run in parallel

One earns and learns, one builds robots, one builds the shared platform. Each has its own first proof point, and none waits for the others.

A

Business

Sell measurable per-hectare results; earn revenue, data and trust.

First proof point

10 paying pilot farms, positive margin per hectare

B

Robotics

Build our own field robots, starting with one narrow task.

First proof point

A prototype robot doing a paid task by month 12

C

Platform & seed-to-table

Build the shared autonomy and data platform; extend into post-harvest, processing and market.

First proof point

Reusable modules on two machines; first post-harvest pilot

Operating principles

What we must be willing to do

Six commitments that shape daily decisions rather than decorating a wall.

01

Food security and profit together

Neither is traded for the other. Every product has to pass both halves of the dual test or it gets redesigned.

02

One stage at a time

Farming first, then post-harvest, then processing, then market and data. Each stage has its own customers, rules and skills.

03

Build robots in small, honest steps

One narrow task, one crop, tested in real dirt. The failure log is the most valuable engineering asset we have.

04

Charge from the first pilot

A free pilot teaches nothing about willingness to pay. Paying customers are the only honest signal.

05

Treat farmer data like machine safety

Consent in plain language, farmer ownership, anonymisation before sharing, and never selling personal data.

06

Civilian and defensive, always

We never arm staff or farmers, and we never present Ifenri as a militia or a security company.

Boundaries

What Ifenri is not

A company that will do anything is a company you cannot predict. These boundaries are part of the plan.

  • Ifenri is civilian and agricultural only. Weapons systems and unrelated sectors are outside the plan.

  • Ifenri does not become a medical-device or clinical company. Health value arrives as insight, early warning and partnerships built on food data.

  • Ifenri never arms staff or farmers, and is never presented as a militia or security company.

  • No data product launches without a consent framework, a named partner and a written purpose.

  • No agent or robot sprays chemicals, moves near people, or makes a safety-critical decision without a trained human in the loop.

  • Never arm staff or farmers
  • No humanoid robots to start
  • No data product without consent
  • No new chain stage before its gate is passed

Why Ifenri

Competitors sell equipment. We sell a working hectare.

Input suppliers, processors and other agritech firms already serve parts of this chain. We win where local presence, service and honesty about limits matter — and we publish what we will not do.

  • Local service, not imported boxes

Maintenance, training and spare parts in the cluster. A machine nobody can repair is a liability, not an asset.

  • An agronomist behind every recommendation

AI drafts. A trained agronomist approves. No agent or robot makes a safety-critical call on its own.

  • Hardware designed for dust, heat and theft

Designed for Nigerian field conditions and repairable by a local technician with swappable, modular parts.

  • Data the farmer owns

Farmers own their farm data. We use it for agreed purposes, share the benefit, and never sell personal data.

How we work

From a first flight to a repeatable hectare

The whole business is built on one loop, run honestly and in the open. Nothing gets added to the chain until the step before it pays for itself.

01

Pick one cluster

One state, one crop, one tight cluster of farms you can actually reach. Scored on trust, security, demand, density, robot test fit and off-take — then written down.

02

Sell a paid pilot

Ten organizations that will pay something, even at a discount. Success measures agreed in writing before the first flight. The field teaches us what to build next.

03

Prove the hectare

Positive gross margin per hectare after direct costs, at least half intending to reorder. Only then do we add the next service, the next machine, or the next stage of the chain.

The chain

Four stages, added one at a time

We do not attempt the whole chain at once. Farming first, then post-harvest, then processing, then market and data products. Each stage needs its own customers, rules and skills.

What we commit to

Written down, so you can hold us to it

We are pre-revenue, so we have no customer testimonials to show you. What we do have is a plan with its limits stated in advance. These are five commitments taken directly from it.

“Ifenri is an agriculture company, and only an agriculture company. Its goal is to make food more secure and farming more profitable at the same time, across the whole chain from seed to table.”

Start the conversation

Make food secure and farming profitable — at the same time

Tell us your crop, your hectares and where you lose money today. We will tell you honestly whether Ifenri can improve that hectare yet — and if we cannot, we will say so.
